How We Can Help

At Calm Reflections Wellness Center, therapy is focused on helping you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical coping skills you can use in daily life. Telehealth therapy in Connecticut allows you to access care from the comfort of your home while still receiving consistent, personalized support anywhere in the state. Therapy is not about being “fixed” — it is about gaining insight, emotional regulation skills, and confidence in your ability to navigate challenges.

How Therapy Works

Therapy looks different for everyone — but it should always feel collaborative, supportive, and useful.

We offer individual and family therapy sessions for teens, adults, and families across Connecticut. Sessions are held via secure telehealth and are tailored to your needs, goals, and pace.

Our work often includes:

  • Learning skills to manage intense emotions and stress

  • Understanding patterns in thoughts, behaviors, and relationships

  • Navigating family dynamics, communication challenges, and conflict

  • Support during high-stress or crisis periods

We use evidence-based approaches like DBT and CBT, but we also believe therapy works best when it feels like a real human connection — not a script. We take this work seriously, but I also believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself — questions, honesty, and even a little humor are welcome here.

Who we Work With

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Below are some of the ways I most often support teens, adults, and families — but you don’t have to fit perfectly into a box to reach out.

  • For teens who feel overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, anxious, or stuck

Teen years can be intense. I work with teens who experience big emotions, frequent stress, anxiety, mood swings, or difficulty coping with daily demands. This may show up as shutdown, irritability, impulsive behavior, or feeling misunderstood.

In therapy, we focus on building practical skills to manage emotions, navigate relationships, and feel more confident handling challenges — at a pace that feels safe and supportive.

  • For adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, or relationship stress

Many adults we work with feel like they’re holding everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck on the inside. Anxiety, low mood, burnout, and relationship stress can make everyday life feel heavier than it needs to be.

Therapy is a space to slow things down, understand patterns, and build tools that actually help — whether you’re navigating a transition, struggling with boundaries, or just feeling off and unsure why.

  • For families seeking support with communication, conflict, or a struggling child or teen

Family dynamics can become especially challenging when one person is struggling. I work with families who want support improving communication, reducing conflict, and understanding how to better support a child or teen during stressful or crisis periods.

Sessions focus on building clarity, consistency, and emotional safety — helping families feel more connected and better equipped to handle challenges together.

Depending on the family’s needs, sessions may involve the family together, parents and children separately, or a combination of both. At times, this may include more than one session in a week to provide appropriate support.

About Suzy

I work with young adults, and adults navigating mental health challenges and co-occurring concerns. I work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles (family or partners), and ADHD. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change is possible — even during life’s most challenging moments.

Therapy with me is a partnership. Together, we create a supportive and nurturing space where clients can explore patterns, build insight, and develop tools that support growth and emotional well-being. I believe therapy should feel warm, empowering, and deeply human — a place where you feel understood while also being gently challenged to move forward.

I offer confidential therapy through secure telehealth sessions, providing flexible and accessible support for clients across Connecticut. Whether you’re navigating stress, emotional overwhelm, or a desire for deeper balance and fulfillment, therapy can be a space to reconnect with yourself and create lasting change.

In addition to my clinical work, I am the founder of Calm Reflections Wellness Center and provide clinical supervision to therapists within the practice, supporting ethical, high-quality care for clients and families.

About Miranda

Hi — I’m Miranda. I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker in Connecticut, practicing under the supervision of an LCSW at Calm Reflections Wellness Center.

I’m a therapist who believes therapy can be meaningful and human. I work with teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, and moments that feel like “too much.”

Through my work with adolescents, adults, and families, I’m very familiar with how heavy life can feel when mental health struggles — or life stress in general — are present. Having a space where you feel validated while also being gently challenged can make a real difference.

My style is supportive, structured, and down-to-earth. We’ll do real work — and yes, sometimes we’ll laugh too.
